Rubí is a Mexican telenovela produced by José Alberto Castro for Televisa in 2004. It is a remake of the 1968 series of the same name and stars Barbara Mori in the title role.
The series follows the life of Rubí Perez Ochoa, a beautiful, ambitious, and manipulative woman who will stop at nothing to achieve wealth and status. Along the way, she becomes embroiled in a love triangle with two men, the wealthy businessman Alejandro and the struggling artist Héctor.
Rubí was a huge commercial success, being sold to over 100 countries and becoming one of the most popular telenovelas of its time. It received high ratings and critical acclaim for its performances, particularly from Barbara Mori, who became a household name as a result of her portrayal of Rubí.
The series spawned various adaptations and spin-offs, including an international remake in 2010 and a sequel/spin-off series, El Final del Paraíso, in 2019.
